Proteon Pharmaceuticals was an invited speaker at the 9th edition of the FIAAP Animal Nutrition conference held on March 27, 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. This one-day international conference highlighted the latest innovations and research in animal feed ingredients and additives. The event was co-located with five additional conferences as part of VICTAM Asia 2018.
Prof. Jarosław Dastych, CEO of Proteon Pharmaceuticals, gave a speech at the main program entitled “Bacteriophages: Antibiotic-free Solution against Salmonella in Poultry”. The presentation introduced the company’s first commercial product – BAFASAL®. Prof. Dastych has given an overview about the results of efficacy studies as well as technical trials performed on broilers and egg laying hens.
BAFASAL® is a bacteriophage preparation helping to eliminate human pathogenic strains of Salmonella in poultry. BAFASAL® is patent protected worldwide and is currently being prepared for market launch.
